Last week was a tough one on us here in the Northland with weather adding on a delay, at the beginning of last week we all thought we might open the range and nine holes soon, that will be tough to do, unless we get an amazing warm up before Easter Sunday. This past weekend we had fantastic golf to watch on TV, and to get us pumped up for the duluth golf season. This week spend some green and be prepared for the season ahead when the grass turns green.
Last week I had the opportunity to travel to Anaheim and Las Vegas for a few days over Spring Break visiting three colleges and played three rounds of golf. One at Alta Vista CC, a fellow Billy Casper Golf Property, Royal Links GC and Stallion Mountain GC. It's always fun to visit other facilities and check out what they do well and maybe what they don't. What their course conditions and guest service is like, do they appreciate and care that you came to visit them. I have to say the three rounds we experienced last week were top notch and I would highly recommend Royal Links in Las Vegas - but - it won't be easy, as it's a tough golf course with bunkers everywhere, be ready for a challenge! Tiger Woods still holds the course record at this facility and he did it many years ago.
Off Season Golf or Winter Golf is fun and a must do living in the North. We are already planning a late Fall Trip and Winter Trip down South next year. If you would like more information watch our social media on Facebook and Instagram or ask me, Mike, next time you visit Enger Park GC or Lester Park GC.
