Memorial Day May 27th 2019 - the first time this golf season that turf conditions are starting to dry out and all 54 holes are now allowing golf carts on the course. It is somewhat unbelievable, but after record snowfall in the month of May mixed in with soaking rain fall total's our season has started very soggy. Many golfer's that have played or walked the two golf courses have realized this along with watching local TV weather, this area's precipitation that has hit us this month has nowhere to go.
The week ahead weather looks to finally improve, the result will be drying turf and golf course maintenance teams to start attending to daily maintenance procedures. After 27 days this month, we have only had 1/2 off the days golf able, and 1/2 off the days not, due to snow or rain. Instead of the month of April drying the turf conditions out on our golf courses, this year it was the month of May.
Golfers thank you for your patience this past month, with help from the weather and growing temperatures on the way, conditions will improve.
